I grew up in a house where my mom always peeled carrots and cut them up for snacking. Even when they started making those bags of mini "baby" carrots all peeled and ready to eat [whenever that was!?].
So the tip here is... if you store your peeled carrots {even if you buy the baby peeled ready to eat carrots} in water, enough to cover the carrots they will last longer and keep from drying out.
The reason is because carrots that are peeled will dry out and become "rubbery" because of the loss of moisture, even when stored in an airtight container.
So submerse your peeled carrots in water to make them last longer and keep their crispness! Enjoy!
