Salted Peanut Chews

Ingredients for Base:
-1 package yellow cake mix {or 2 packages Jiffy yellow cake mix}
-1/3 cup butter, softened
-1 egg
-3 cups mini marshmallows
Ingredients for Topping:
-2/3 cup corn syrup
-1/4 cup butter
-2 tsp vanilla extract
-2 cups (12 oz.) peanut butter chips
-2 cups rice crispy cereal
-2 cups salted peanuts

Process:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Combine all base ingredients {except marshmallows}.
3. Beat until the mixture holds together.
4. Press base mixture into a 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
5. Bake for 12-18 minutes.
6. Remove from oven and immediately top with marshmallows.
7. Return to oven for another 1-2 minutes or until marshmallows are puffed. Set aside to cool.
8. In a large saucepan over medium heat combine corn syrup, butter, vanilla and peanut butter chips until melted.
9. Stir in rice crispies and peanuts.
10. Combine well.
11. Immediately spread mixture over marshmallows.
12. Cool and enjoy!
